Counselling may be right for you if you feel ready to talk each week with a qualified professional in a private setting. You may be eager to talk and have a lot to say. Or talking may be difficult to do. Trust takes time. I’ll encourage you to speak freely and will ask questions to help you along if needed, especially in the beginning. Over time, how we work together will develop organically between the two of us. And as we go along, we’ll be able to work at depths that feel right for you.
I may be the right therapist for you, depending on what you’re looking for. I explore here-and-now feelings as well as invite exploration of past experiences. I work to identify patterns of thinking and relating to others and to yourself, seeking to uncover and understand unconscious thoughts and feelings. I do this sensitively, nonjudgementally, and empathically. As a therapist, I invite honesty, appreciate different ways of living and being, and I value the lightness and darkness in us all. I can also have a laugh – that’s something a lot of us in our professional bios don’t mention although it’s true. There can be humour in the bleakest of times and therapy is also a space to bring joy when you find it.

Fees and Sessions
Please note: I currently have no availability
I am not seeing clients in person at the moment because of government guidelines related to COVID-19. I currently see clients on Zoom.
Rather than a fixed fee, I accept payment that is between £40 and £60. This means that you decide, within that range, what fee you’ll pay based on what is affordable for you. Whatever fee you choose between £40 and £60 is what you will pay each week. This fee range applies to video and in-person therapy.
Payments can be made
- by cash (in person)
- BACS (I’ll provide you with bank details)
- or by card (in person)
Sessions are for 1 hour on the same day each week and at the same time.
I offer psychotherapy in Edinburgh in person at 28 Rutland Square. Video sessions are via Zoom.
Before we begin working together, I’ll send you and ask you to read over this document. It gives you more information about therapy and therapy with me so that you know what to expect. It’s my contract. I’ll also send to you this emergency contact form to complete. Finally, I’ll send you my COVID-19 policy before you begin therapy with me and/or we’ll go over it in our first session.
